First, you’ll want to ensure that you have them complete any paperwork that you’ll need for their employee file. You’ll need to have paperwork for their benefits, healthcare, payment deposit, and personal information.

Make Employees Feel Welcome

Ensure the Technology Is Set Up

Your human resources department will need to partner with your IT department to make sure that the new hires have all of the technology set up. This means that all of the software should be set up with the ability to create new user profiles. 

They should also have all the equipment they need, like laptops, a mouse, keyboard, monitors, and a headset or anything else they might need. Someone should also show them how to set up their voicemail and email accounts so that they can start receiving messages.

Find a Mentor

Lastly, make sure that the new employee has a mentor that can help them learn about the new company. This is important for helping the employee learn about the culture and their position so that they can start performing well as soon as possible.
